Common questions

How do I add my whole roster quickly?

On the Roster tab, paste a list of players, one per line, such as a list copied from your team app or a spreadsheet. LiveLineup picks up names and numbers, and you can fix anything after.

How do I build lines?

On the Lines tab, drag a player into a spot, or tap a player and then tap the spot. Players who aren't placed yet are listed under Available.

How do line changes work during a game?

The bench shows the forward line and the defense pair on the ice with their shift times, and the next ones up with how long they've rested. Tap Change to send the next group out. Made a mistake? Tap Undo.

How do penalties work?

Tap Penalty and pick the player. Their seat is outlined in red with their time in the box, and the bar at the top tells you if someone needs to sit or a seat needs filling. When the penalty ends, they go back on.

Do I need to run the game clock?

No. Shift timers run in real time. If you want stoppages left out, tap stop at a whistle and play on at the faceoff. It's optional.

How do I connect my assistant coach's phone?

Both of you need the app. Open the game on the bench, show the QR code from your phone, and have your assistant scan it. Their phone joins over the local network, with no internet needed. Allow Local Network access if iOS asks. If you can't connect, they can keep score on their own copy and send you the file after the game to merge.

How do I share lines with my staff?

Use the share button on a lineup or game. Send a LiveLineup file to anyone with the app, or an image or PDF to anyone without it.

Is my data backed up?

Your data is included in your iPhone or iPad backup. You can also export a team or game as a file and keep it in Files.

Reporting a problem

Tell us your device and iOS version, what you expected, and what happened instead. A screenshot, or the game file shared from the app, helps a lot.
