MoveIt! Privacy Policy
Effective October 28, 2026 · About MoveIt!
The short version: MoveIt! doesn't collect your data. Your health and motion data is read on your own iPhone and Apple Watch, only to confirm that you moved during a break. Break status syncs between your devices through your own private iCloud, which we can't access. There are no accounts, ads, analytics, or trackers.
This policy covers the MoveIt! apps for Mac, iPhone, and Apple Watch, published by Puddle Studios, LLC ("we", "us"). If anything here is unclear, write to contact@puddlestudios.biz.
What we collect
Nothing. We don't run servers for MoveIt!, and the app doesn't send data to us or to any third party. We have no way to see who uses the app or how.
What the app uses on your devices
Health and motion data (iPhone and Apple Watch)
With your permission, MoveIt! reads your steps, workouts, and active energy from Apple Health, and step counts from the Motion & Fitness sensors, during a break. It uses them only to check whether you've reached the break's goal.
- To keep counting while your screen is off, MoveIt! may run a workout session during a break. No workouts are saved to Apple Health.
- Health data is never stored outside your devices, never sent to us, never shared with third parties, and never used for advertising or marketing.
- You can turn off MoveIt!'s access at any time in the Health app or in Settings > Privacy & Security.
Break status, synced through your iCloud
For your Mac and your iPhone or Apple Watch to coordinate a break, MoveIt! stores small records in your private iCloud database (Apple CloudKit). These hold the break's status and goal, which device is handling it, and your settings. They don't contain your health data. Only your devices signed in to your Apple Account can read them. We can't. Apple's privacy policy covers iCloud.
Calendar (Mac, optional)
If you turn on calendar pause, MoveIt! checks your calendars on your Mac to see whether you're in a meeting, so it doesn't lock your screen during one. Calendar data never leaves your Mac.
Activity on your Mac
To know when you've been sitting for a while, MoveIt! checks how long it's been since you last used the keyboard or mouse. It doesn't record what you type or which apps you use.
Notifications
MoveIt! sends notifications to tell you a break is coming or has started. They're generated on your devices, or delivered by Apple as part of iCloud sync.
Children
MoveIt! isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone. Since we collect nothing, there's nothing for us to delete; removing the app and its iCloud data removes everything.
Deleting your data
Delete MoveIt! from your devices to remove its local data. To remove its iCloud records, go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Storage on iPhone, or System Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage on Mac, and delete MoveIt!'s data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the effective date. If a change affects what the app does with your data, we'll also say so in the app's release notes.
